The Birds and the Bees

March 21 was the first full day or spring, and also my birthday. It was a beautiful, sunny, warm day. Temperatures reached 45 degrees. I think that may be a record for Maine. Someone once told me that in Maine the four seasons are really: almost winter, winter, not quite winter, and road construction. Anyway, it really was a nice day. So I took Emma outside to give her the first lesson. We learned what all the little animals are. What not to eat and what to stay away from. "That's not a tootsie roll in the yard!" Chauncy was outside with us... She even learned how to throw Chauncy a stick. Although she did try to eat it first..... Happy Spring Everyone!!

Bad Hair Day

Ever feel like you are having a bad hair day? I think this tops the cake.... Fortunately, I could wash this out when we were done playing. Those of you who saw the mohawk she had when she was a few months old know that one was real. I eventually cut that one off when everyone started to comment on "the baby with the mohawk".
